A private tour of Tuscany is built around where you sleep. From Florence the natural day is Chianti Classico. From Siena the south opens: the Val d'Orcia, Montalcino, Montepulciano, and the road to San Gimignano. Tuscan tours that try to see all of that before lunch are a drive through the names, not a day in any of them.
Each day is for your group only, from two to thirty people. One day you drive, in a supercar or a classic car. Another day a chauffeur takes you to an estate, so the person who tastes is not the person who drives back. You keep the hotel you booked. We collect you there. The estimate depends on the dates, the car and the number of guests, and it arrives in a proposal within 48 hours.
Florence one day, Siena the next
Florence and Siena are an hour apart, and they do not open the same country. A vineyard tour from Florence reaches Chianti Classico: Gaiole, Radda, Castellina, and a slow stop at Castello di Brolio. That is a wine tasting tour from Florence, with a chauffeur and lunch, and it is back in the city the same afternoon.
Siena is the door to the south. The Val d'Orcia, Montalcino and Montepulciano each ask for their own day. Putting Montepulciano on the end of a Florence Chianti morning means arriving when the estate is thinking about closing.

A driving day and a winery day
On a driving day you are at the wheel. Heart of Chianti is the supercar through Brolio, Gaiole, Radda and Castellina. The Roads of the Val d'Orcia are the south: San Quirico, Pienza, Bagno Vignoni, back to Siena. The tasting, when there is one, is a stop on that drive.
On a winery day you do not drive. Chianti Classico from Florence is Castello di Brolio, or Brolio and Castello di Radda if you want two estates. Brunello is Montalcino. Vino Nobile is Montepulciano, at Boscarelli, from Siena. Bolgheri, on the coast, is Petra, and the longer road means it is the whole day.

San Gimignano, the town
San Gimignano sits on the classic-car day from Siena, with Monteriggioni and the Val d'Elsa, and lunch in the town. The towers are the reason for that day. The cellar days are the other list: Chianti, Montalcino, Montepulciano, Bolgheri.

How a tour of Tuscany is put together
Two days is a shape: one driving, one at an estate. Three days can add the south or San Gimignano. More than that, and the evenings start to matter as much as the roads. Tell us the dates, where you are sleeping, and how many of you are coming. The proposal comes back within 48 hours, with the estimate. There is no price on this page.
Frequently asked questions
What is a private tour of Tuscany?
Two or three days for your group only, from Florence, Siena or your hotel. One day is driving. One day is a winery, with a chauffeur. The evenings are yours, in the hotel you booked.
Can a Tuscan tour start in Florence?
Yes. From Florence the day is Chianti Classico. The Val d'Orcia, Montalcino, Montepulciano and San Gimignano are easier from Siena, and each one is its own day.
What is the difference between a Tuscany tour and a wine tour?
A wine tour is one estate day: tasting, lunch, a chauffeur, home again. A tour of Tuscany lines that day up with a driving day, and sometimes with San Gimignano or the Val d'Orcia.
Where do you stay?
In the hotel you have booked, in Florence, in Siena or in the countryside. We collect you there in the morning and bring you back.
